VICTORIAN WOVEN HAIR MOURNING WREATH, small size, brown and white-toned hair finely woven into flowers and leaves with metal wire supports. Housed under glass in a period, possibly original, shadow box frame. Fourth quarter 19th century. 4 1/2" x 2 3/4" object, 6 7/8" x 9 1/4" OA.

Condition

Very good overall condition with minor dust, rusting to metal wire, a few spots of fraying on hair mostly to lower edge, frame with minor wear, crack and repair to top adjacent to hanging ring. Not examined out of frame.
