[4], 729, [11] pp. Bound in full period speckled sheep. ****************** WITH A SUBSTANTIAL AMOUNT OF MATERIAL RELATED TO AMERICA. Among the entries related to America is a lengthy account (pp. 219-226) of what would become known as the Boston Massacre. The entry names Crispus Attucks as "killed instantly; two balls entering his breast..." Attucks was of African and Native American descent, and he is generally known as the first casualty of the American Revolution. Here, he is listed among several others who were also "killed on the spot," including Samuel Gray, James Caldwell, Samuel Maverick, John Clark, and many others. In all, an important issue of this periodical and not often encountered. –
