PICTURES FROM MEMORY: A NEW YEAR'S GIFT FROM THE WARREN STREET CHAPEL. 1846. N.p., [1846.] 6" x 3.75". 18 pp. Bound in pale blue wrappers, stitched. **************** A very rare publication. The Warren St. Chapel in Boston was built specially for poor children in 1835. The contents describe a series of paintings and their inspiration. One particularly interesting narrative concerns a young man from Nova Scotia who came to New York and fell among thieves; he eventually ends up at prison in Sing Sing. Rare. â€“
