Description
Japanese pipe, from a finely carved and hollowed antler holding a wooden pipe with silver additions. Japanese characters are incised along one side of the antler along with a red stamp. The antler is carved and painted with a figure in armor standing underneath a tree.
Provenance: Property from the distinguished collection of Mr. James Lee Soffer, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
