A message from the artist indicates this was printed directly after the show, as the first print run was very limited:There has been much confusion about this particular poster. As the artist, I thought I should set it right. Originally, the concert was to be held in the Earl Warren Showgrounds. As ticket sales were brisk, the venue was shifted to the Earl Warren Arena, which held many more people. The first, prior to the concert, printing of the poster was limited. The posters disappeared quickly, so a second poster was printed after the concert. The promoter did not like the bleed at the top of the poster or the registration marks from the first printing, so they were stripped out. In doing this, Pacific Printing was also stripped out from the bottom of the poster. Additionally, there were a few more scratches on the offset plates which showed up on the poster. The overall colors remained the same, including the blue printing at the bottom of the poster. Some later reprints had black lettering at the bottom of the poster, or some other color. This poster has been reprinted, without my permission, all over the world. Personally, I have never reprinted any of my posters. Reprints were done by the promoter and later by many people, over the years. The image has been made into postcards and even some bogus picture tickets (there were no picture tickets).I hope this helps clear up any misconceptions about this poster. I do not like people getting ripped off or not knowing the truth.By the way... the concert was GREAT!!!Frank Bettencourt
