British WWI medal trio including 1.)A 1914 Star medal with "5TH AUG-22ND NOV.1914" bar impressed named "8041 PTE E.J. PURDUE. 2/WILTS; R.". 2.) British War medal impressed named "8041 PTE E.J. PURDUE. WILTS. R.". 3.) British WWI Victory medal impressed named "8041 PTE E.J. PURDUE. WILTS. R.". Medal and ribbons exhibit some wear with British War medal exhibiting some light surface pitting. 4.) George V "Long Service and Good Conduct" medal impressed named "5564347 PTE. E.J. PURDUE. WILTS. R.". Ernest J. Purdue was a private in the Wiltshire Regiment and was taken prisoner of war in 1914. Provenance: Stanley Bright collection.
