circa 1730, of octagonal form, hand painted in the center with the Duke of Hamilton coat of arms surrounded by swags of ermine and pink fabric, the border with gilt and grisaille floral elements and a crest of topiary with motto above "Through."

Some fretting and slight nicks to rim; rubbing with some loss to gilt and enamels; star hairline crack to underside, hairline is visible from the front under blacklight.
