French Provincial Faux Bois Carved Pine Tallcase Clock, 19th c., the ogee crown over a floral and bird repousse polychromed brass face, around an enamel dial time and strike clock painted with a retailer's name of "Martial Tamisier a Perigueax," over a banjo form pendulum door enclosing a polychromed brass repousse pendulum, on a figural painted plinth base with bracket feet, H.- 92 in., W.- 21 in., D.- 9 in.
Condition
Shrinkage cracks throughout, where boards meet, and would benefit from restoring or filling. Old pest damage visible in minor areas. Case would benefit from cleaning. Weights not present, unable to test for working order. Minor losses to wood at feet per normal wear and tear with age. Handsome example in need of some restoration.
