Description
Place the coin in the proper position on the barrel of the gun. Press the right foot and the coin is thrown into the opening of the tree which happens to be the bull's eye of the target. As the coin enters the tree, it strikes a gong bell. To round out the sound effect, the rifle has been fabricated in a manner that allows for a paper cap to be fired simultaneously. From the Tanenbaum Collection. Painted cast iron. In working order. The coin door on the base is missing. Areas of light losses exist over much of the surface, however, slightly heavier losses and resulting oxidation are evident on the man. American (Cromwell, CT., USA). Patent Nov. 6, 1878. 6.5" H x 10 W x 3" D. CODE-BAN
