Yellow, black, and white abstract oil painting by artist Armand H. Szainer (1914-1998). Szainer was born in Poland and raised in Germany, emigrating to France in 1933 to begin his art career. He was a prisoner of war in Germany from 1940-45; immediately following liberation, Szainer moved to Manchester, NH, where he would go on to serve as President of the New Hampshire Art Association and act as art director of Studio Potter, a magazine created alongside Gerry Williams and Peter Sabin.overall size 20.5" x 21.5" image size 17.5" x 18.5"
