Item Details
Description
1959 Fender Musicmaster Guitar, Fullerton, CA USA. This 1959 Fender Musicmaster is 100% original right down to the hang tags and strings on the guitar. SERIAL NUMBER: H-39096. COLOR: Dessert Sand. WEIGHT: 6lbs 1.8ozs. NECK: In mid 1959 Fender converted from solid maple neck to the beautiful Slab Brazilian rosewood necks. Notice the off white opaque clay dot position markers. The neck has some real awesome maple grains. The headstock is in terrific shape. Pencil date 6-59. Original tuner buttons, tuners are single line Klusons. Neck has a 7.25 radius. BODY: Painted in dessert sand, excellent vintage condition. There are some pick markings on the body and pickguard, as well as markings on the back of the body. Real nice checking on various areas of the body. Notice the body has been routed for an additional pickup and switch. These were the same bodies used to make the Musicmaster and Dousonk models. The single ply pickguard has aged nicely to more of a cream color. The aluminum shield underneath along with the pickup, wiring, solder, joints, pots and masking tape is 100% original. 250K pot codes read 137916. Bridge is in excellent shape. Nice patina to all the metal hardware. Chrome knobs are in great shape with very minor pitting. The original owner was meticulous in keeping everything with the guitar. This guitar includes the following: original case with key (in great shape) hang tag with written model and serial number. Chrome bridge cover, guitar strap and cable, original owners music books and a letter from the original owner telling about his acquisition and experience. Please note, the original owners vintage 1959 champ amp is listed in lot 102. This would make an excellent addition to any collection, shop or home.
