Six 19th C. hand colored woodblocks and off-set lithographs for Harper's Weekly, Once a Week, and Survey Graphic depicting various winter sports themes: "Christmas in the Klondike - Holiday Greetings between an 'El Dorado King' and a 'Dog-Puncher' on the Main Street of Dawson" drawn by Tappan Adney (Harper's Weekly December 17, 1895); "Norwegian Sport at Ishpeming, Michigan" drawn by Thulstrup and Graham (Harper's Weekly March 12, 1892); "Winter Sports in Canada" drawn for Once A Week by G.W. Peters, ca. 1850-1910; "Being Towed" drawn by H. Peterson for the front cover of "The Graphic" (December 30, 1871); a hand-colored woodblock engraving entitled "A Skating Scene" (Harper's Weekly, February 12, 1859) by William H. Condition
All prints are set in custom mattes. Most show slight toning, commensurate with age. A few show nicks, losses, and/or tears to peripheries - most that do not impact the images. Only "Tobogganing" has one tear that affects about a quarter inch of the image, but others do not impact the images.
