Southwestern Sterling Silver Created Opals Ring. It also has a Bali/India theme to it - crossover appeal. This is a size 8 ring, with two opals that are appx. 5.5mm by 3.5 - each bezel set in a cigar band style. It is 15.6mm at the top center down the finger and it tapers down to 2.6mm at the back. It has a recessed design with raised scrolls. The two created fire opals are a deep blue with bright green fire. They are bezel set and raised on top. Weight of the ring is 3.90 grams. It is marked and tests as sterling. No magnetic reaction. I feel this is solidly sterling made up of the proper alloy. This is an early 2000's ring. New with tags from original seller. This ring came from the estate of a couple who sold many items, including jewelry and this ring, along with many I will be listing are part of that estate. Each ring is marked with a tag by the woman with information on the ring - some rings are marked and some just have her tag - her asking price on this ring was $99.00. I believe she bought some of her supply from importers - some rings are real sterling, some are marked and not true sterling, some are gold plated and rhodium plates. l. Some rings have a mild magnetic reaction which in the rhodium/gold plating process where nickel is applied in the plating process which creates a mild magnetic reaction.
