French Scenic Wallpaper Panel Printed en Grisaille

first quarter 19th century, Paris, by Dufour or Dufour et Leroy, in consecutive sections from "Vues D'Italie" depicting a sailboat and harborside figures, presented in a Louis XVI-style giltwood frame.
h. 68", w. 51-3/4"

Condition

**French Scenic Wallpaper Section Printed En Grisaille with a Sailboat:

Laid down on wood with card attached to the wood.
Exhibits the expected vertical shrinkage visible on the front surfaces.
Typical scattered old wrinkles, discolorations, small surface losses and inpainting. Patch and wear at the lower left corner.
Losses along the lower edge with professional, well-integrated inpainting.
All of the above consistent with age.
The later frame in good condition.
