Description
James Lee tailored (Hong Kong / Japan) mess dress jacket to US Army Colonel Willard G. Alverson. He was an infantry officer in the 3rd Division during the Korean War, then commanded a Special Forces Battalion, and served two tours in Vietnam. In 1966 he served as an Advisor to the Vietnamese Rangers at Pleiku, and then from 1972-73 commanded the Army Support Element of Military Region IV in the Mekong Delta. He was the last US Soldier to leave the Delta. Good condition for its age.
