Description

Rogers Locomotive & Machine Works builder photo of Mississippi & Tennessee Railway #25. This railroad existed from 1855-1889 when it was absorbed into the Illinois Central Railroad. This photograph is large and has great detail. It has the photographist name of J. Reid and Patterson, N.J. in opposite corners. There are a few condition issues but we should look so good at 130+ years old. This is an 0-6-0 switching steam locomotive with sloped back tender. The photograph is mounted on heavy linen/canvas with old backing tape on the edges. The photo is better than my pictures show. The paper is pretty supple and could be rolled for shipping. Shipping it as a pancake is an option too. We have other Roger's steam locomotive photographs in this auction.
