A modern exhibition brochure, featuring the art of Pablo Picasso artworks from 1932-1695, at Galerie Beyeler in Basel, Switzerland. On back of brochure is an original, colored pencil drawing of a man with a beret and with a Picasso signature in red pencil on the bottom right. Dimensions: 11h x 8.75w (unframed). In excellent vintage condition. Provenance: This artwork was part of a seasoned art dealer’s personal collection. By trade this art dealer was a teacher, but in the 1970s he started collecting and selling art as a supplement income. This turned into a successful business, and he traveled the globe internationally with his son sourcing original artworks by famous modern and post-war artists, as well as Asian and African artifacts. The art dealer is now retired and lives outside of Detroit, Michigan. Pablo Picasso (1881-1973) was one of the most influential modern artists in the 20th century. It is said he lived multiple artistic lives, constantly evolving and being an influence in various art movements. Most famed for the Cubism movement, his avant-garde influence forever changed contemporary painting. Picasso’s influence on art history and the artists that followed him is undeniable. He has been in countless museum and gallery exhibitions around the globe and if often cited as the greatest artist of all time.
