Letter signed five months after the end of WWII. Stating to the heading ''Personnel Department - Confidential''. Brezhnev, in his capacity as Major General, Head of the Political Department of the Carpathian Military District, approves the appointment of Lieutenant Colonel Mikhail Grigorievich Mironov as inspector of party and political work in the administrative units of organizational-instruction section of the Political Directorate of the Carpathian Military District. The document lists Mironov´s personal information, his past services and merits, the awards received and his Communist Party of Bolsheviks membership since 1939 and his affiliation to the Red Army since 1936, and his service to the Patriotic war since 1941. Also signed at the base by Colonel General L. Mekhlis and by Colonel P. Khomyakov. Multiple pinholes to the left border, not affecting the text or signatures. VG
