This is an unusual estate found antique necklace dating to the 19th century. It features a triple strand drop joining at the central pendant featuring an enamel decorated ouroboros. The ouroboros is an ancient symbol depicting a serpent or dragon eating its own tail. The chains connecting to the clasp and the filigree ornaments on the sides test to be 800 silver. We suspect the rest to be composed of German silver (an alloy). Alternatively, it may be a low grade silver, but it is impossible for us to tell using acid based testing.
The necklace length is 18 1/2". The pendant is 1 3/4 x 1".

There is some loss to the enamel details.
