French, 18th/19th century, grey painted trumeau mirror in the Louis XVI taste, having a shaped cornice, oil on canvas courting scene in the manner of Jean-Baptist Watteau, and pilasters with floral urns contained within rais-de-coeur frames. Unmarked. Provenance: From the Estate of a prominent Atlanta businessman. Approx. h. 70.25", w. 39.25", w. 2.75".
Condition
Pleasing distressed finish; later canvas; likely period plate with some loss of silvering; frame is structurally sound.
