Late 19th / early 20th century: 1. Oval form, hinged lid centered with a miniature portrait insert of woman wearing a large hat with flowers, signed middle right "Tanny", surrounded by applied floral and foliate scrolls with urns of flowers at each side, ornately decorated sides and base, velvet lined interior; 6 1/2" x 3 1/4", 1 1/2"H---2. Round powder box, hinged lid centered with a miniature portrait insert of woman in blue dress with blue ribbon in her hair, signed at right "Astier", portrait surrounded by a band of silver guilloche, beveled mirror on interior of lid, pierced floral sides, glass insert, base incised "France"; 4" dia., 2 3/8"H---3. Round dresser box having lid decorated with knights on horseback and other figures in relief, velvet lined interior, base incised "Made in France"; 4 1/4" dia., 2"H---all in good overall condition with minor signs of wear, latter with minor dents to base (Ref. 126)
