The porcelain potted with a shallow body, slight deep, thick, flaring rim with angled cavetto elevated the steep sides upward the close mouth rim, raised on ring foot base slight concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in blue and white color, depicted of children playing on the terrace bellow dense tree and auspicious pattern. A characteristic heaped and piled effect, the under glaze greyish - blue concentrates in certain areas, bubbling through the surface of the glaze and turning a deep blue - black. This inadvertently gave texture, energy, and shading to the design.The underside unglazed, revealed the pale - creme ground revealed and dark greyish brown spotted firing marks and edge - cut foot rim.
