Description

Antique Tantalus in Wood - A tantalus set of mahogany, silverplate, and brass. Band of inlaid lighter wood at base. Together with four antique glass decanters, each of different patterns and married with the set. Decanters marked as follows: three squared base decanters -marked Gorham 10" h, "Cristal Moel"; and one unmarked 10 1/2" h; and one round base decanter -marked England, "Wel…"). Dimensions: Case - 13" H x 16 1/4" L x 8 1/4" W. Condition: Normal wear appropriate to age and use. The wood on tantalus case has three cracks, two on one side and one on the other; there is also some roughage and losses to band at base. They are stable and do not affect the integrity of the piece. Each decanter has some minor use/wear such as light surface scratches, English bottle has a few tiny fleabites.
