Marcantonio Raimondi Malerba studied at the Art Institute and the Academy of Fine Arts. After graduating, he began to work on the theatre stage and to collaborate with architects on projects. Soon he starts to create unique pieces of design in parallel to the production of art, but little by little both trajectories start to merge with each other so that his design is enriched with artistic concepts. For more than 10 years he has been working on private and public projects.
Marcantonio's inspiration comes mainly from the interconnections between man and nature, making them a dynamic study where the beauty of nature is intervened by man's activity.
He conceives his work as a direct continuation of what he did as a child, playing with everything he finds, and creating what his mind imagined. In fact, looking for the aesthetic component and the concept, he takes ideas from the same sources he created while playing, daydreaming about everything that normally surrounds him. He learned from Art how an idea can be elegant, so he always looks for pure and summarised concepts. "I never give up irony; irony is serious business. If a good idea is even funny, I can't resist realising it" Marcantonio.
His design works have graced the covers of magazines such as Let's Have Fun, ELLE DECO News, instant, as well as being part of others such as marie claire, domus, AD or Living among many others.
