Sir Peter Warren (1703-1752) was born in Ireland and began his colorful and profitable career in the British Navy at the age of 13. He spent most of his career in North America and the West Indies, where he commanded ships at Boston, New York, and Charleston. He defeated the French at Louisbourg, Nova Scotia.
