Town of Boston Fire Department 1783 / 1786 Document for services. This scarce document is for payment to Joseph Lovering 1758 - 1848 who participated in the Boston Tea Party. He also made Spermaceti oil products in Boston. Lovering is charging for supplying Engine No.2 with one gallon of oyle, one line, four pounds of tallow, and for repairing the pipe. This is likely for Captain Cushing and the Assistant Fire Society servicing Fire Engines Number 2 which was named the "Congress" and located on North St. Document signed by Joseph Lovering April 1786.
