Item Details
Description
Dane Burr (American, Cleveland School, 1926-2013), modeled as a pair of charming, large eyed lemurs resting in the canopy of a tree with a toucan, the details picked out in turquoise and brown, signed Dane Burr, 1978. Excellent condition with no damage or repair. Approx. 23.5" H x 14" W x 8" D.

Note: Burr attended the Cleveland Institute of Art, and was influenced by both Viktor Schreckengost and his ceramics instructor, Thelma F. Winter. His work is characterized by whimsical animal forms, which gradually became more distilled and simple throughout his career.
