It was purchased June 22, 1956 for their son's birthday present by his Mother, from Old Capital Motors , 300 Broadway, Kingston, New York. It was his pride and joy, it has 54,527 original miles, the Serial Number is P6FH 262318. The convertible top is behind the seats, the (2) back fender wheel covers were stored in the trunk. Lots of original paperwork included including bill of sale, etc. Has Opera window on the hardtop, automatic transmission, first generation Thunderbird.......Has had some rust repair in spots, possibly by the owner, and some spare parts were found in the basement. After a successful first year Ford made only minor changes in 1956, the most obvious being the relocation of the spare tire to provide more luggage space. 1956 was the first year for the beautiful Continental kit for the spare tire, and the only year it was standard equipment.
