Description
An artistic, colorful and fanciful flower frog with delicately sculpted nude figures. The style is very Art Deco. The thinly molded porcelain bowl has two figural nudes – or perhaps nymphs - frolicking on each side. They look like they are washing at a fountain or basin. The fountain is glazed in pastel purple, green and turquoise. It has one large central hole encircled by smaller holes. The porcelain is very refined and white. The frog has a shallow and mostly unglazed foot. There is a molded mark on the glazed base that reads, “Germany” and the production number 4354.MEASUREMENTS4 ¾” (12.1 cm) wide x 2 ¾” (7.0 cm) deep x 5 ½” (14.0 cm) tall. Weighs 10.1 oz (285 g)CONDITIONThe only damage is the neck on one of the ladies broke and was repaired. You have to look pretty closely to notice it. There are a couple of glaze misses on the lip of the basin.A delicate, artistic, figural piece from the Art Deco period.ITEM IDPot-3104STYLEArt DecoCOLORGreen, Purple, Turquoise, WhiteTYPEArt Deco, PorcelainORIGINGermany • GermanPURPOSEFlower FrogsITEM TYPEVintage
