For your consideration is this exquisite pair of Chinese Ming Dynasty style elmwood wedding chairs from late 19th or early 20th century, with carved panels on the splat. Chairs are flanked with curving open arms with gooseneck post resting on a planked wooden seat. Created for the bride to be lead to meet her future husband, the armchair is raised on four straight legs with arch-shaped apron, the ensemble being strengthened by side stretchers.
