Description
The Beatles signed concert program July 12, 1964 "Brighton Hippodrome". This was the first of five Beatles Sunday Concerts at English Seaside Resorts. On the way to the venue, George Harrison was involved in a minor road accident while driving his new E-Type Jaguar car on the New Kings Road in Fulham, London. Passing pedestrians collected bits of broken glass as souvenirs. One of the support acts at the Brighton Hippodrome was the Shubdubs, whose drummer, Jimmie Nicol, had performed with The Beatles during part of their June 1964 tour after Ringo Starr was taken ill. Also on the bill were The Fourmost, a Liverpool band managed by Brian Epstein. The Beatles had previously played at Brighton’s Hippodrome on 2 June 1963 and returned for a final visit on 25 October 1964. This item comes with a letter of authenticity issued by Guaranteed Forensic Authenticators along with the GFA guarantee of authenticity.
