Description
From an era of more refined dining, here are two hard-to-find silver-plated collar-type holders once used to hold condiment bottles or drinking glasses. Each one is reticulated in a geometric design. The taller one is a cup/glass holder made in the U.S.A. by The Sheffield Co. It measures 3.75" high X 2.5" diameter. It is stamped on the bottom "EPC" for electroplated copper. Sheffield EPC refers to Old Sheffield Plate, a form of plate silver popular in the mid-1700s up to the 1840s. The shorter and wider collar is stamped "EPBR Celtic Quality Plate" and was made in England. It measures 2.75" high X 4" wide.
