Description
Carved American Folk Art Sculpture,Tightrope Performer. Large sculpture is made of wood and faux fur with vibrant polychrome decoration and depicts a black haired circus performer in a blue unitard sitting at the top of a ladder on the edge of a tightrope, with a unicycle balanced in the middle. From the look on his face, he may have stage fright. Created in the early 1980's by New England outsider artist Robert Wincuinas.
Dimensions are 60 in h x 11 in w x 91 in d for the ladders and pole. Height with performer sitting on top is 98 in. Balancing pole is 48 in w. Condition is good though the toes have been broken off one foot. Please call or email for a detailed condition report.
