18TH CENTURY GERMAN AUGSBURG SILVER CANDLESTICKS, PAIR, each having a twist-fluted design, featuring a single capital on a knopped stem, raised on a shaped and stepped hollow dome base. Each marked to edge of base with an Augsburg hallmark having "M" date mark for 1755-1757 and an "PCS" maker's mark for Philipp Caspar Scheppich, underside with a tremolierstich mark, unknown silver fineness. Total weight with possible reinforcement to stem: 14.30 ozt. Circa 1755. 7 3/8" H.

Condition
Good to very good overall condition with wear, surface scratches, some bending to bases causing the candlesticks to sit slightly unevenly, minute/minor dents; one candlestick with a few repairs including to side of capital, base with some splits along edges; other candlestick with one or a few possible minor repairs.
