Description

CHINESE EXPORT PORCELAIN WUCAI / FAMILLE VERTE ARTICLES, LOT OF TWO, each having bold polychrome hand-painted decorations, comprising a covered box with dragon motif, having blue six-character Jiajing mark to underside, and a brush pot having two scenes including one depicting a battle and one featuring a hunt, having blue six-character Kangxi mark to underside. Probably 20th century. Brush pot 7 3/8" HOA, 8 1/2" D rim.

Condition

Mostly undamaged, box cover with minor hairline to interior edge, probably as made, and pot with some minor scattered scratches and scuff marks.
