Unusual Japanese lacquered wood standing desk with two large horizontal drawers over two side cabinets and a central knee hole. The piece is accented with painted foliage trim throughout the drawer fronts and tabletop along with a black lacquered contrasting background throughout. Other natural motifs such as birds and foliage are featured on bottom cabinet door fronts. The desk is also composed of bamboo pieces utilized both decoratively as small bamboo trim on the drawer fronts and for structural use for the legs.
