Lot of approx. 380 RPCs of natural scenes along the Redwood Highway (now US Hwy 101) taken by renowned OR &CA photographer Frank Patterson. c. mid-1920s - 1950s. Note: America's great Redwood forests were Patterson's key target. These magnificent trees are a world treasure. Postcard collection probably showcases 100 different locations, with duplications, including old roads, logging roads, various groves including Bull Creek, Eel River, Big Lagoon, a Roosevelt Elk herd, and much more. Also note: Patterson, born in OR, began his photography career in the early 1900s. Around 1925 -1926 he began selling his b&w nature photos on postcards; by 1928 he had 228 dealers from OR to Sonoma County, CA.
