Offered here is the authentic, with provenance, and signed by Brian May, FIRST ever US radio play of Queen. "Keep Yourself Alive" Written by guitarist Brian May, it is the opening track on the band's eponymous debut album (1973). Included is an additional copy of the recording on reel to reel that can be played, thus preserving and protecting the historic, vintage original recording from any further wear or use. This recording is from the private collection of former Elektra Records executive Ric Aliberte, and is guaranteed authentic.

Queen - Keep yourself alive (The Sarm Studio demo tape 1973)

SARM East Studios is a recording studio that was located on Osborn Street at the southern end of Brick Lane in east London. Gary Lyons and Barry Ainsworth, two recording engineers who had been operating a tape copying service called Sound and Recording Mobiles, purchased the facility and named it using an acronym of their business name, opening SARM in July 1973.

Queen recorded the Radio Demo reel to reel for “ Keep yourself Alive “ at this new London recording studio in 1973. This recording was distributed for radio play in the United States in 1974. Signed and inscribed by Brian May, the FIRST ever US radio play of Queen: “ Yo, Ric, A Priceless Heirloom! Brian May “ Original box, and reel to reel original 1973 recording with Brian May Autograph, with provenance from Ric Aliberte, the man who helped to get Queen signed with Elektra in the USA, launching a national phenomenon that continues to this day. EMI Records released "Keep Yourself Alive" as a single in the United Kingdom on 6 July 1973, a week before Queen hit the stores. A few months later, on 9 October 1973, Elektra Records released the single in the United States.

Later in 1975, Queen recorded sections of "Bohemian Rhapsody" and "The Prophet’s Song" at SARM, and filmed the video for "Somebody to Love" at the studio in 1976. The band returned to SARM in the summer of 1977 to record portions of their album News of the World, including the hit song "We Are the Champions". Provenance: The The Ric Aliberte Collection.
