Wonderful family photo album from Fairhope, Alabama. Depicts the experience of life in a rural bayside community at the time, with notable subjects including Fort Morgan and the School for Organic Education. Many of the photos are of recreational activities including boat trips, beach outings, fishing trips, and picnics. The diversity of the wildlife is also conveyed by the presence of numerous animals including opossums, pelicans, snapping turtles, snakes and even an alligator. Fairhope was initially founded as a Georgist utopian community and artist colony in 1894 and still exists today as a resort town.
