Very early likely experimental and/or prototype as Billy began delving from other animal figurals into lions. This is very early pot dates from when Billy was a production potter, along w/ the likes of R.E. Albright, et al, in the mid to late 1970s. Simple, yet elegant. Stands 7.5" by 7. Signed on base.
