Made with a central core to distribute the molten metal and heat. The core was then laboriously removed by hand with the remnants still visible. Fine dark red/brown copper patina with minor encrustation from burial. Vikings were expert metallurgists. The use of pure copper is rare and suggests a supernatural significance as alloys were much more durable. Gift boxed with certificate of authenticity. Vikings exchanged rings on the pommel of the groom's sword.
