Description
This is an original charcoal and oil crayon drawing by artist William Strang (Scottish, 1859-1921). Strang was a painter and printmaker, notable for illustrating the works of Bunyan, Coleridge and Kipling. The drawing features a study of sleeping children. Signed. Framed with artist bio on verso. From the estate of Gerald Goldberg, Esq., Lord Mayor of Cork, Ireland (1977-1978). The son of Lithuanian Jewish refugees, Goldberg was the first ever Jewish Lord Mayro of Cork.
The frame is 18 1/8 x 14 1/4" with a mat sight of 10 3/4 x 7 3/8".

Toning and scattered foxing. Obvious foxing to the mat. Wear to the frame.
