Description
Navajo Transitional Crystal Rug c. 1900s, Condition: This textile is in very good condition, and has some minor wear. There is some wear to the corners. There is 1" area of wear on the selvage and an area about 1" x 2" that is thin and has 3 broken warps. On one end, there is an area about the size of a quarter that has 2 broken warps, but the weft is intact. There is one very small hole in the center where there is one broken weft. One side is slightly faded, and there is one small area, about the size of a quarter with pale pink color run. There is no moth damage. Warp count 4, weft count 12, per inch. See close-up photos.Provenance: Acquired from a private collection in Alaska.
