Wilson Tawaquaptewa - Hopi Kachina c. 1930-40s, Condition: This kachina is in excellent condition. There is surface wear, slight paint loss, and small, thin cracks along each shoulder. This doll has not had any restoration or breaks to the piece. Signed twice in pencil "B.V." on the bottom of each foot, probably old inventory number. Please see photos for details. Provenance: Acquired from a private collection in Arizona. Description: Wilson Tawaquaptewa did not sign his dolls, but this is a classic example with the usual face and body paint of the masters work.
