The large spots of paint in the white background are intentional by the artist. The canvas needs to be re-adjusted within the frame, particularly on the top left (or top proper right) corner. On the right side of the figure, near the frame, there are 3 tiny specks of something that don’t seem to be paint. The only area of slight damage is to the left of the figure’s shoulder on the white background. There are 2-3 indents from something hitting the canvas or leaning against the canvas, which has caused some paint to chip off. Additionally, there are some areas of paint loss around the border of the canvas with the frame, particularly on the proper right side, bottom and a small area on the proper left side bottom.
