Description
A birch "SPICE" box with canisters and 2 pantry boxes, all circa 1850-70. The spice box with the original 8 spice canisters and original stenciling is in very good original condition and measures 9 3/8" diameter x 3 3/8"H; the first pantry box in natural finish and having a hand painted lid decorated with fruit - it contains the Aspic cutters used by Doris, one with assorted tin maple sugar molds; the second pantry box, in newer black paint and with lapped single finger, contains small tin and maple sugar molds. The 2 pantry boxes in good condition. Provenance: From the Doris and Jerry Soldner collection, Lake Carmel NY (formally of Kingston NY).
