291. VINTAGE RUSSIAN CLOTH DOLLS. Eight dolls 6" to 11 3/4" tall. Each are stockinette with pressed and painted facial features wearing original costumes. Some are labeled, including woman with black overcoat, red head covering and red waist scarf "Mordwa Woman", the two men with brown hats each labeled "Village Boy", woman with red scarf and peach shirt labeled "Mascha", and woman with beige tunic with blue and red accents and red shawl with flowers, labeled "A girl with showe", all but the largest doll have straw shoes. Commentary: Made in the Soviet Union, circa 1930s, very good condition. Estimate: $ 200/300
