Description
Northern Europe, United Kingdom, England, late Tudor to early Stuart Period, ca. 1550 to 1650 CE. A remarkable silver stamp seal with an octagonal face and a trefoil handle pierced at the center for suspension. Surrounded by a stippled border, the stamp's face displays a coat of arms with "Two Bars Or In A Chief Chevron Or." A seal like this would have likely belonged to a nobleman. Size: 0.7" L x 0.6" W x 1.1" H (1.8 cm x 1.5 cm x 2.8 cm); silver quality: 95%; weight: 10.1 grams
