Description
A CHINESE FAMILLE ROSE ENAMELED PORCELAIN "ARTIST UNDER PINE" BRUSH POT, BITONG, 20TH CENTURY, of short cylindrical form and flat rim above nicely painted sides centering a white haired sage elder, seated on a chair before a standing attendant beneath the branches of an ancient pine and painting a scroll on a large boulder with ink stone and water vessel, engaging an attentive youth and gentlemen friends set within a garden bordered by blossoming chrysanthemums and bamboo foliage, reversing to six rows of a black calligraphic character mark inscription signed with an iron red square form seal mark, verso an overglaze iron red square form seal mark. Height: 7" Diameter: 7 3/8"
