Stunning Art Deco Platinum and Diamond Cartier Drop Earrings in their original case, circa 1920's. Earrings consist of 2 old European cut diamonds weighing approximately 1.00ct total, 36 old European cut diamonds weighing approximately 3.00cts total, 32 round single cut diamonds weighing approximately 0.32cts total and 2 straight baguette cut diamonds weighing approximately 0.36cts total. Combined diamond total weight is approximately 4.68cts. Signed "Cartier" and each numbered "638", in excellent to near mint original condition. Accompanied by original spring-loaded red Cartier tilted display box. Overall length measures 2". Gross weight is 12.7 grams. Provenance: These earrings belonged to Eleanor Morris McCormick { Collier }. She was the great granddaughter of Leander McCormick, who together with his brother, Cyrus , invented the McCormick mechanical reaper. Their company became International Harvester. Accessories: Case.
